NIKE Astrograbber
걸그룹 미야오(MEOVV)가 모델로 참여한 나이키 아스트로그래버 스니커즈 캠페인의 메인 헤드카피 국문화 작업입니다. 오리지널 영문 캠페인에 사용된 Sirca 서체 특유의 우아한 획의 흐름과 풍성한 볼륨감을 한글 타이포그래피로 온전히 이식하기 위해 전용 레터링을 기획했습니다. 이를 위해 한글 자소의 뼈대를 새롭게 구축하며 유려하고 부드러운 곡선과 단단하고 속도감 있는 직선을 극적으로 대비시켰습니다. 이러한 구조적 대비를 통해 아스트로그래버 모델이 지닌 클래식하고 레트로한 감각을 세련되게 살려내는 동시에, 나이키 고유의 역동적이고 스포티한 브랜드 정체성을 시각적으로 구현하고자 하였습니다.
This is the Korean localization project for the main headcopy of the Nike Astrograbber sneaker campaign featuring the girl group MEOVV. To faithfully transplant the elegant stroke flow and rich volume of the Sirca typeface used in the original English campaign into Korean typography, we designed exclusive custom lettering. To achieve this, we reconstructed the framework of the Hangul characters, dramatically contrasting smooth, flowing curves with solid, dynamic straight lines. Through this structural contrast, we aimed to refine the classic and retro sensibility of the Astrograbber model while visually embodying Nike's uniquely dynamic and sporty brand identity.
